About Me

Hi, I’m Danny Parker. A professional photographer and filmmaker living in Falmouth, Cornwall. I have over 12 years of experience and recently went back to Falmouth University to get my Masters Degree in Film and Television. I live with my partner, our two children and our two cats who can often be found getting up to no good in my instagram stories. When I am not making work for clients or working on passion projects, I can be found spending quality time with my family, running and occasionally skateboarding. Alongside my creative practice, I have a passion for education and mentoring, and currently lecture on the BA Applied Media course at Truro College.

It was skateboarding that first led to me picking up a camera, something that I will be forever grateful for. I began shooting pictures of tricks, filming short videos and also documenting our times spent in the streets of the UK and far beyond. It was doing this that allowed me to really hone my craft and led to working with brands such as Vans, Anti-Hero Skateboards and Death skateboards whilst also having my work featured in major skate mags such as Sidewalk (RIP) and The Skateboarder’s Companion.

The media landscape has changed drastically in my lifetime. Gone are the days when advertising was just for big businesses with huge budgets, now every independent business owner, artist, maker and brand has access to the technology and platforms to reach millions of potential customers. This is great, however, it also comes with the added pressure to have a professional website and a seemingly endless stream of ‘content’ to pump out across social media. There are tonnes of skills that go into success with this type of marketing and it can be absolutely soul destroying to put in all of this effort and not see results.

This is where I come in. I am absolutely obsessed with creating images and films that highlight the incredible work that people are putting out into the world, be that artwork, social initiatives from responsible brands or even great coffee at an independent deli. It’s the stories behind the brands that can really connect potential customers, building trust and a sense of community.
